Pool report #6
Breanna Edwards • Univision
February 2, 2017: 11:51 AM

Pool was escorted into the Roosevelt Room at 11:33 am where POTUS was meant to be meeting with Senator Orrin Hatch, Senator Ron Wyden, Congressman Kevin Brady Congressman Richard Neal and others. POTUS and VPOTUS walked in at 11:36am and started shaking hands before taking his seat abs beginning to speak at 11:38am...concentration on trade.

Some remarks:

"We put together an all star team of top level people that are working on trade...We have some statutory limits. I have very serious concerns about NAFTA. NAFTA has been a catastrophe for our county. It's been a catastrophe for our jobs and our country... I want to change it and maybe we do it and maybe we do a new NAFTA and we add an extra f in NAFTA... For free and fair TRADE... because it's very unfair. All of the statutory guidelines we're adherering to I would like to speed it up if possible.

And we will make great trade deals... I don't care if it's a renovation of nafta or a brand new nafta but we do have to make it fair and it's very unfair to the American worker and very very unfair to companies... In this country.

POTUS gave a nod to Wall Street's Wilbur Ross who was also in the room, saying that he will be "representing us in negotiations."

So we've really assembled tremendous talent... Wilbur is fair, he will be fair to other countries. And I think... It's going to be a trenemendous thing for our county.

POTUS finished speaking at 11:40pm and the pool was immediately escorted out of the room.
