Background On Ambassador Mark Green:

Ambassador Mark Green is the former Ambassador to Tanzania and a former Wisconsin Congressman. Green was appointed by President George W. Bush to serve as Ambassador to Tanzania from 2007 to 2009. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives representing Wisconsin's 8th District from 1998 to 2006. Prior to his election to Congress, Green was member of Wisconsin State Assembly and chaired the Assembly Republican Caucus.
