BURLINGTON, Vt. – U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on September 12 will travel to South Carolina. A town hall meeting in Columbia kicks off the trip, which also includes stops in Florence and Rock Hill. The Democratic Party presidential candidate will be joined by prominent academic, author and activist, Dr. Cornel West.

Here is the updated itinerary:

Saturday, September 12

11 a.m.

Benedict College Town Hall Meeting, Benedict College, 1600 Harden Street, Columbia
Doors open at 10 a.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.

4 p.m.

Florence Town Hall Meeting, Florence Civic Center, 3300 W. Radio Drive, Florence
Doors open at 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.

7:30 p.m.

Winthrop University Rally, Winthrop University, 701 Oakland Avenue, Rock Hill
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Admission is first come, first served. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is strongly encouraged.
